- Why should I join?

- Can I see the briefs without joining up?
-
The best way to see the video briefs is to join up as a producer on the site – set up a Producer Account.
If you want to see what’s on the site before you join contact us on 1300 394 430 or email us at .
- What do I need to do to join?
-
To create your ProductionParty account we'll need some details from you. Signing up is easy and free. Once you've created your account you can start creating your producer profile.
We'll need your reel to be able to check your application, so upload this first. Our producers will then look at your application and if everything looks good, you'll be free to start pitching for jobs.
- How do I pitch ?
-
Once you've registered and been approved you can pitch on any of the briefs on the site.
- Can other producers see my pitch?
-
No. Only the client gets to see the pitches. Your work remains confidential.
- How do I get paid?
-
If your pitch is successful on ProductionParty.com, the client will pay the agreed amount to ProductionParty. Once the client has 'Signed Off' the video you've 'Delivered', ProductionParty will pay the agreed amount to the Producer less the ProductionParty commission. The ProductionParty commission (20%) has been included in the total pitch amount to the client, so you'll receive the actual amount visible to the client, minus the ProductionParty commission.
ProductionParty will transfer the money using the details given in your Producer Profile Settings under Payment Details. Please contact us on if you need any assistance with this.
You can find out more about Payment of Production Fees in our Terms and Conditions.
- The client doesn't like the video/doesn't want to pay. What should I do?
-
First, try working with your client to see if you can get your video to the required standard.
If you're still not happy, the ProductionParty guarantee states that if your client is dissatisfied with your work, the production process, or the final production (your video), ProductionParty offers a Dispute Resolution Service to assist in the development of a workable solution. In the event that a workable solution cannot be achieved, ProductionParty will attempt to recover any unspent funds from you or your company, proportional to the stage of development, and refund any recovered funds to the client.
You can find out more about our Dispute Resolution Services in our Terms and Conditions, here.
- What videos can I upload to my Producer Profile?
-
You can upload public YouTube or Vimeo videos to your Producer Profile. It's a good idea to upload a few examples of your work to give potential clients a good indication of what work you can do.
- I'm having trouble uploading my videos to my Producer Profile
-
Check that you're using a YouTube or Vimeo video link. You can't upload private video files. You need to check that the video link you are using is a valid destination. If you're using Vimeo you need to check that the video is available for 'sharing' or public view.
Also check that you're only trying to upload one video at a time. You can't upload your whole portfolio at once.
